Just who am I?

Did you ever think about that?
Well to begin with
I know that I'm a child of God!
Created in his image, no less!
It is interesting that we frequently
hear that man was
created in God's image,
but we rarely ever stop
and think about what that means.
We know we are created in
God's image because the
Bible tells us so in Genesis 1:27
where we read, "And God created
man in His own image,
in the image of God He created him;
male and female He created them."
I also know that many people think
of God as a big woman/man,
since the Bible says we
were created in God's image.
It is only natural to make that assumption.
But I have another concept entirely
since the Bible also tells us that God is Spirit.
Hence, I believe that human beings are
similar to God in that we are spirit beings.
Unlike the plants and animals,
each of us possesses a unique spirit.
It is this spirit,  or actuating cause
of an individual life, that allows us to form
a personal relationship with our Creator.
For me at least my spirit is that
part of me that has the ability
to relate to God, the Holy Spirit.
